Infinity broke its own record last night, snatching the Multiplier of the Year award for the infinite time at the 2009 Multis.
“I know a lot numbers don’t want to see me on this stage but this isn’t for them,” said a smiling Infinitas during his acceptance speech. “This award goes out to my fans the infints. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Thank you times infinity.”
Not everyone agreed with honoring a number without end for the infinite time. Many multiplier enthusiast thought the Mulits should recognize a number other than the unstoppable force of unboundedness.
“We get it. You can multiply something an infinite amount of times,” said Bruce James, a multiplier enthusiast. “But does every battle need to end with a nuclear explosion? Can’t someone times something by a zillion or googolplex and that be it? Those are the life force of multiplication; the ones that move and multiply the whole system. Without them we could only times something infinity or be times by infinity and everything would be without end. What would we be if we were endless? We would be nowhere and we would be nobody. Fuck infinity.”
